About

I want to share my passion for experimentation and creativity and produce work that benefits everyone, keeping ahead of the changing computer industry, continuously learning and utilising the latest applications and technology for communicating ideas. Thus, I am offering my talents as artist, designer, technologist and communication specialist.

I was born in Germany in the second half of the 1970s and lived in a middle class home in a town named Uslar. My childhood was spent peacefully. I was 8 years old when my mother introduced me to a Decision Mate V with CP/M as its operating system. From then on I knew that computers would rule a great part of my life. I grew up creating ASCII/ANSI/VGA graphics for the underground computer scene.

After graduating from high school, I went to do a period of practical training at HFS, a digital photo studio and Screenform, an advertising agency specialising in new media, both located in Hannover. During this first year I realised that my strengths lay in graphic design and the internet.

Soon after, I started my studies in media design at BBS II, a technical/vocational school in Göttingen and was hired as a screen designer by the full-service agency BlackBit.

Two years later, VIR2L Studios recognised my output and invited me to Washington DC. After a month in the USA the company opened a division in London and I relocated to work there as an art director. For one and a half years I dedicated myself to several huge jobs including work for broadcasting and television stations, tv-shows and the music industry.

After moving back to Germany and working for nearly 5 years as a senior designer at Fork Unstable Media in Berlin, I decided to take fate in my own hands and started working freelance.

Nowadays I work part-time as an independent contractor for the London based agency Tobias & Tobias, where I am responsible for the visual appearance of many large-scale projects from the finance, transport and retail sector.
